Who do you predict will make it to the Super Bowl?
James Green, Little League Coach
“I am picking the Jets and the Vikings. The Jets are built to win championships. Good defense and solid running game. The Vikings you are dealing with a veteran QB; he turned Sidney Rice who was a bust and Favre rebuilt him and allowed him to play and have fun. Adrian Peterson is what is going to separate the Vikings from the Saints. He hasn’t done anything yet. Look out for #28 to be the X-Factor.
I pick the JETS to win it all.”

THE STATE OF HBCU FOOTBALL
| The history of black college football can be traced back to December 27, 1892 when a group of students from Living Stone College in North Carolina decided to challenge students from nearby Biddle College to a game that was starting to gain popularity throughout the nation. This game was actually started in 1823 at the Rugby Boy’s School in England. At the same time students at Princeton were playing a game called “ballown” which was played by using mainly fist to advance the ball past the opposing team. In 1873 representatives from Columbia, Rutgers, Princeton, and Yale University met in New York to formulate and establish the first intercollegiate rules for the popular game known today as college football. |

Superman, The Flash, and Zena left early because the little ladies wouldn’t let them get away with anything. Spiderman couldn’t get his web to work on the tree and all of the other super friends that were males just couldn’t hang. No Joke wasn’t funny. Team Leader Alicia Charette coordinated the event and did some hosting, which lead to a little lady getting one of the biggest wins in Orangeburg Dragstrip history ever for a Jr. dragster. |
