Successful Fun Run For Band of Blue

| We are proud to report that the Band of Blue cruise in and fun run was a huge success. Pat Catterton (president of Band Booster Club) and Billy Rogers (assistant in coordination events) stated that Saturday’s turn out and participation was larger than and previous event. |
There were many trophies and prizes won, and refreshments were always on hand. Tom Finigan (Director of bands), had Band of Blue members present at Colleton County High School, as well as the Veteran’s Victory house.
It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood, and everyone was ready to cruise. After a prayer and a few selections from the Band, everyone lined up to proceed too the first checkpoint of the fun run. The first checkpoint for the bikes was P& D grocery in Smoaks. The first stop for the cars was Bells Elementary, led by Cathy Crosby in her 1930 Model A Ford.
After several stops both groups, cars and bikes joined back at the high school for a chicken dinner. Drawings were held for the prizes and awards. Everyone who participated was well pleased; and expressed their enthusiasm toward the next event.
