World Changers experience giving and receiving

| Youth and adults from World Changers 2009 returned to their homes, but the work they accomplished before leaving Colleton County will not go unnoticed. The local outpouring of hospitality shown to the World Changers participants from area churches was comparably inspiring. |
Twenty-three work sites with over 233 participants worked in concert to spread the greatness of serving others through repairing roofs, building ramps, and painting homes within Colleton County, last week. While youth and adult participants from World Changers came from several states to volunteer on residential construction sites, members from area churches banded together to demonstrate their appreciation by providing food, drinks and other refreshments for the workers.
Take Youmans home in Cottageville for an example. Ms. Youmans said she was extremely delighted to have such wonderful people spending the week at her home. The host churches that provided refreshments at her home are Trinity AME, Jericho United Methodist and St. John AME.
Betty Holmes of Cottageville and Emma Holmes of Round O participated with the project by providing a meal sponsored by Trinity AME Church where Reverend Leon Maxwell is the pastor on Friday.
Betty said that she really enjoyed being there because she got a chance to get started on the mission that she believes God has in
