| “Tires Slashed At Circle C” A deputy met with a victim at Circle C who advised he came to Circle C to retrieve his paycheck so he could pay his light bill, when his soon to be former roommate slashed two of his tires. |
He told the deputy that he knew it was his roommate because he visually identifi ed her from the store’s security recording. He advised that she might have done it out of spite thinking he was not going to pay the light bill. When the deputy viewed the recording, he observed a white female placing a foreign object in the victim’s tires. The victim was of Magistrate procedure.
“Males Unload Scrap” A deputy was dispatched to a Jefferies Hwy address in response to suspicious activity. The caller stated that two black males were loading up a truck with items from her property across the street from her residence. She stated that when she informed the males that they were on her property, they removed the items from their truck. The males advised the deputy that they noticed a large shiny metal object in the woods and when they stopped to pick it up they noticed the other objects. The males advised the deputy that they thought the objects were junk, so they were going to sell it at a recycling center. But, they stated that after they were confronted by the owner they apologized and unloaded their truck. When the deputy arrived all the items had been removed from the truck and the males were placed on a trespass notice at the request of the owner.
“She Took My Wallet” A victim made contact with a deputy via telephone in reference to a stolen wallet. The victim stated that his wallet was in his glove box when he gave a woman that he had been seeing a ride home to Country Estates, but it was missing after she exited the vehicle. He further advised that the subject was drinking and smoking crack cocaine that she had with her. The victim stated that he did not drink or smoke crack cocaine. He stated that his wallet contained his CDL permit, High School Diploma, insurance card, and $20. He was advised of magistrate procedures and provided a case card.
“We Were Duck Hunting” Deputies were called to Westbank Landing in regards to stolen property. Upon arrival, the deputies met with three victims who stated someone broke the windows on their trucks and removed their property while they were duck hunting. Among the stolen items was a Cobra CB radio, a brand new still in the box 10 inch Boston Acoustic subwoofer, and a pair of size 12 Wolverine boots.
“Woman Assaulted” A deputy responded to a residence in reference to a domestic dispute. The victim advised that she told her child’s father not to bring his wife with him when he came to bring their child’s Christmas gifts. She further stated that when he came, she was not in the living room, but when she came from the back, she saw his wife. It was at that time she asked the wife to leave and closed the door behind her. The victim then advised that her child’s father pushed her into the wall, his wife came back into the residence, and they both began assaulting her. The deputy did notice where someone had been pushed into the living room wall and the victim’s injured lip. The witness corroborated the victim’s story and added that she had to pull the subject’s away from the victim. The victim told the deputy that her child’s father is in the military and is stationed in North Carolina. The victim was advised warrant procedures and to speak with the victim’s advocate.
“Residence Burglarized” A deputy was dispatched to a residence in response to a burglary. The victim stated that she went to her mobile home and she found one of the right side windows open. Upon entering the residence she noticed a 52 inch fl at screen TV, a king sized bed, and when she walked around the home she found the power meter on the ground. She stated that she and her husband are separated and they are in the middle of bankruptcy. She stated that she did not know the serial number of the TV, but she was going to return the meter to Coastal Electric Coop. The crime reports are actual reports taken by the Colleton County Sheriff’s Offi ce and the Walterboro Police Department.
