Author: | Katie Simmons Fort, 70, the daughter of the late John (JD) Simmons and Pearl Williams Simmons was born on August 1, 1939 in Colleton County. She entered into eternal rest on October 31, 2009 in New York City. |
Mrs. Fort was employed as a Kitchen Supervisor for Lutheran Trinity Church. She retired after twenty years of service. She was married to Ernest fort. She had one son, John McWilliams; both preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories, sisters, Isabelle Pinckney and Jessie Brown, brothers, John D. Simmons, Jr. and Mark Simmons, five grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, two brother-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and loving friends.
