The Community Times Dispatch

I have been writing this column for several months now. I have asked for feedback from you to no avail. What I don’t know is; Are the columns helpful to you and your family? Have you enjoyed reading the columns? Is there something else you would like to read about?

I am a retired special educator by profession. Oftentimes when interacting with parents, I would ask if they had any questions or comments about what we’ve discussed for their child. Invariably the answer would be no, I don’t have any questions. So I began to explain that questions and comments were important to us because that is how we gauge our actions. I would liken us to a stage production; if we did not receive applauses or boos, we would not know what to keep or change. We would, in fact, assume that we were doing a great job because no one told us anything to the contrary.

And so it is with this column, I could assume that I am doing a great job because I have no evidence to the contrary. So…I need feedback….I need interaction from you, the readers.
