He serves as the assistant pastor of Saints Center Ministries, and has devoted his life to helping people of every tribe and tongue around the world. He is the husband of Wanda Holmes Taylor and the father of three children Emmanuel, Charese, and Phillip Jr. While born in San Diego, California to Bishop Lewis and Leviticus Taylor, he grew up mainly in Walterboro, South Carolina |
In March 1993, Elder Taylor founded Betters Days, Inc. (formerly known as Christian Days and Nights.) The nonprofit corporation was formed to provide a wide array of services for the advancement of children and families. The company provided the first after-school tutoring program in Colleton County, published two tabloids; Better Days (a biblical strategies guide to overcome everyday challenges), and Children, Our Heritage (an educational resource guide), and provided conferences, seminars, mentoring, and community planning.
Elder Taylor served as Chairman to Colleton First Steps to School Readiness, Chairman of the Walterboro/Colleton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, United Way of Colleton, Bamberg, and Hampton Counties, Advisory Board for Colleton Area Vocational Rehabilitation, and is on the Colleton County Planning Commission. Presently, Elder Taylor serves as the founder of The Phillip Martin Taylor School of Discipline, Inc. (a 501C3 Nonprofit Corporation), and is the owner and publisher of The Dispatch (general news through newsprint and web-based circulation.)
