Ravenel teen killed in accident

19 year old Cory Singleton was struck and killed by a truck while riding an all terrain vehicle on US Hwy 17 and Miley Hill Rd on Sunday April 20th.
In a tragic accident, 19-year-old Cory Singleton was hit by a pickup truck on Sunday night April 20th while driving an all terrain three wheel cycle. He was rushed to the hospital but later died as a result of his injuries, the Charleston County Coroner?s Office said. According to reports, he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.


According to reports Charleston County Sheriff?s Maj. John Clark said the wreck occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 17 and Miley Hill Road around 9 p.m. Sunday April 20, 2008.
According to Linda Singleton, Cory?s mother he was a very loving person and was always willing to do anything for anyone. He was one of the joys of her heart. His sister?s Tiffany and Ebony Singleton added that he was a very energetic young man with a lot of life and they all agreed that he never met a stranger.
He attended Baptist Hill High School and West Ashley High School.
Viewing will be Thursday April 24th at Pasley?s Mortuary at 1115 Fifth Ave. Maryville, Charleston South Carolina. Funeral services will be on Friday April 25th at Greater Bethel A.M.E.
